RETAIL ASSISTANT

Customer Service

  • You’ll need to be aware of the store’s procedures and policies so that you can
    answer customer enquiries.
  • You’ll need to be confident in greeting customers and selling to them in appropriate ways.
  • You will also need to help customers find items on the Sales Floor. The sales floor of the shop is constantly rotating based on current stock and promotions.
  • Retail Assistants have to be aware of each product’s location and maintain product knowledge for items sold in the shop.
  • Inform customers of current promotions. You’ll be part of the shop’s sales force. You must maintain knowledge of the current promotions and ensure every customer you interact with is aware of the promotions.

Process and Back Stock Shipment

  • At Good Games Gold Coast, Retail Assistants work together with the Managers to Receive stock that arrives in store each day, they must be able to accurately count and scan in stock, as well as price and merchandise the products onto the shop floor.

Perform Opening and Closing Housekeeping Tasks

  • You’ll be performing basic housekeeping tasks necessary to get a store back in shape after a day of business. This includes windexing windows and mirrors, dusting fixtures, and vacuuming/mopping the shop floor amongst other cleaning.

Other

  • May need to work alone, with responsibility for the security and general running of a shop during a night shift while running events.
  • Responsible for opening up the shop on mornings, balancing and setting up registers.
  • Delegating tasks from management to themselves and junior staff

Must be able to work weekdays and nights

SINGLES PICKER/PACKER

Customer Service

  • You’ll need to be aware of the store’s procedures and policies so that you can answer customer enquiries.
  • You’ll need to be confident in interacting with customers during sales of various TCG singles in store
  • You will need to be willing to help customers get accustomed to our Singles Kiosk and website to help ensure they understand how we buy and sell instore.
  • Ability to write emails to customers regarding problems and concerns that arise during order fulfilment, e.g., differences in card conditions or variations in actual stock levels compared to what was ordered.

Sorting & Organising

  • At Good Games Gold Coast, our singles staff must have a solid attention to detail as you will be directly handling and organising our singles inventory on a day-to-day basis.
  • Care and attention to packing orders to our standards to ensure all customers receive both what they ordered and the condition it was originally sent in.
