Good Games grading guidelines

Good Games TCG grades are aligned to the industry standard in order to ensure whether you are buying or selling to us there are no surprises.

*Condition of Cards*

Please note that all cards listed on our website that are described as being in "Near Mint" condition. While we strive to ensure that these cards are in excellent condition, "Near Mint" does not equate to "PSA 10" or "Perfect" condition. Minor imperfections, such as light scratches, slight foil curling, slight edge wear, or centering issues, may be present and are not considered defects but part of the card's natural characteristics.

*No Guarantees on Grading*

We do not guarantee that any card will meet the specific criteria of PSA grading standards or any other professional grading service. The card's condition as listed is based on our assessment and may vary from professional grading results.

Near Mint (NM)

Cards graded at Near Mint have little to no damage.

These cards still have their sheen. Minor corner whitening or surface clouding may be allowed if the damage is only seen under very close inspection.

Lightly Played (LP)

Lightly Played cards are those that have been gently treated, but have some small defects.

This includes minor edge/corner wear, minor surface clouding, small scratches or indents. Factory damage like roller marks or indents will cap the card at LP condition.

Moderately Played (MP)

Cards with noticeable wear on edges/corners/surface will fall into the MP category.

This includes significant border whiting, moderate creasing including shuffle warping, heavy surface clouding.

Heavily Played (HP) / Damaged

HP/Damaged cards will show severe wear on edges/corners/surface.

Widespread whiting, creases, scuffing, as well as water damage, inking, and dirt build-up all contribute to a card being placed in the HP/Damaged category.
